On Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, at 2:20 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a vehicle accident that had occurred near the intersection of 8th Road and Emmer Road, north of Gridley, Kansas. A single vehicle was found to have crossed the opposing lane of Emmer Road, northbound, impacted the bridge railing, travelling across the bridge and entering the wooded ditch/creek area. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.
