Athlete of the Week: Joanne Dickinson

Joanne is a Burlington Special Olympics athlete who has been participating for over 10 years! She participates in the bowling, basketball, and track and field events.  Her favorite one, though, is basketball! She says that the best part of Special Olympics is, "meeting new people and getting to know them. Getting to compete."  Joanne loves to cheer everyone on and show good sportsmanship.  

"Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."
